Capstone Properties, a full-service, forward looking real estate company offers 1 or 2 full-time internship opportunities for summer. The summer associate will be involved with some or all of the following design projects: Design of a master-planned “eco-village” residential community; Senior living affordable housing project; Residential projects that incorporate modular construction; 35-acre woodland city park; 1,800 acre woodland preserve; development of a community garden; and more.
The associate will be expected to be involved and/or lead the conceptualization, design, and implementation of comprehensive design projects. Design concepts will be within a master-planned and campus scope and may include horizontal and vertical design, water features, walking paths and bridges as well as overall coordination of signage, pedestrian and vehicle traffic, etc. The summer associate will work with a team of real estate professionals and have the opportunity to impact highly visible community resources. Associate may also assist in research and analysis of real estate related topics, and development of marketing materials, and historic preservation projects. Extraordinary opportunity to develop portfolio accomplishments of high visibility projects in the community.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Landscape architecture, architecture, and planning majors preferred (undg. or grad.)
- Graduate student with combination of architecture (B’Arch) and MLA a plus
- Interest in community and small-scale park development
- Strong graphic design skills a plus
- Experience and ability to coordinate build out of the design a plus
- Ability to work with wide cross-section of customers and the public
- Ability to work independently with significant organizational responsibility
