Job Summary
Harris Seeds is known for our friendly, knowledgeable staff that is committed to growing as our clients “grow”. We are currently seeking a Live Plant Program Specialist who is excited about plants, gardening, or farming, and has the necessary skill set to facilitate the day-to-day order workflow of the Plug & Liner team. In this role, you will be responsible for communicating with internal departments, customers, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment to help increase company sales.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
- Enter new orders to ensure accuracy and timely delivery for the customer
- Maintain visibility on orders and department order flow by communicating with vendors, customers and Harris Seeds staff
- Ensure orders are entered, reconciled and paid for in a timely manner
- Process At Once orders and requests within vendor deadlines
- Work with Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve issues with customer orders
- Monitor all plug order changes, order holds, and customer claims
- Advise internal staff on program updates, subs, adds, drops to maximize sales and customer communication
- Assist Product Manager with changes and updates to program throughout season
- Work with Harris Seeds team to assist with customer questions and program changes
- Act as backup in sales support roles as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in order entry or order flow
- Experience in Gardening, Farming, Greenhouse or Horticulture preferred
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook/Teams
- Acumatica experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities
- Strong time management skills
- Able to self-direct daily tasks and prioritize in a fast paced, deadline driven organization
- Positive attitude with a mature business mindset
Work Environment – this position operates in a casual office environment in Rochester, NY.
