Fellowship Position Specific Description
The Washington Public Health Fellow I will work in Program and Organizational Management, focusing on environmental health and maternal, infant, and family health. Under the supervision of the Director of Patient Services, the Fellow will:
- Collaborate with public health nurses on the CLPPP program, as well as complete clerical and data entry duties as assigned
- Assist with clerical tasks, data entry as assigned in coordination with the Early Intervention Official and EI Service Coordinators
- Assist with scheduling evaluations, IFSP and pre-school transition meetings
- Conduct intakes and follow-up phone calls and associated documentation pertaining to the EI program as assigned
- Organize materials and report activities back to public health staff (i.e. updates for committees, grant reporting, etc.)
- Complete trainings for public health programs as assigned
- Participate in Public Health Emergency preparedness activities as trained and assigned
- Assist with providing education and community outreach for Public Health programs including, but not limited to, Lead Poisoning Prevention, Chronic Disease Prevention, Communicable Disease, Injury Prevention and Control, Family Health, Early Intervention, Preschool, Harm Reduction, etc.
- Demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with others, including the general public
