Mesquite Independent School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Internal Audit Intern. The intern will assist the Internal Auditor in active District Audit and Business Services work while learning the Operations of a major school district’s functions relating to effective business practices.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Currently working to achieve a business degree at a four-year institution.
- Completed at least two years of fulltime college attendance toward a business degree diploma with a demonstrated GPA of 3.0 or higher
- At least 6 college hours of Accounting required, 3 hours in Statistics and College English preferred.
Preference will be given to applicants who:
- research and reporting or project work in an academic environment required and business environment preferred
- have knowledge of computer functions and programs, including word processing, spreadsheet, and data base
- have a working knowledge of researching and following work policies, procedures and validating.
- possess strong analytical and organizational skills
- exhibit a high level of proficiency in data processing applications
- demonstrate effective communication, public relation, and interpersonal skills
- have a service oriented personality
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable.
Salary: Pay Range: Administrative/Technical Support (1); $15.30 (hourly); 20 hours per week June and July only
